Seasonal Muse

This week, we accidentally had a mountain of hemlock bark dumped on a patch of crocuses. Took about three hours to dig them out. They were fine.


Tougher than they look.

Are early bloomers foolish, flowering when snow is still possible? Predictive? Is spring here, five weeks before the Equinox?

Either way, we rain-soaked Oregonians appreciate a little color in February.

Come on daffodils.
